About Creative Writing B

This WriteSpark Academy creative writing course (Semester B) is a 16-week language arts course designed for students ready to deepen their writing skills and complete a longer, more developed story. Semester B builds on the foundations from Semester A and allows learners to complete a full-year English Language Arts experience focused on creative writing. Students dive into guided lessons, structured drafting sprints, revision strategies, and feedback cycles that strengthen plot development, character arcs, dialogue, prose, and voice. Writers move from planning to drafting to polishing a complete manuscript. Learners will also have access to Wednesday Writing Workshops via Zoom, where they can receive live support, collaboration opportunities, and instructor guidance. In addition, WriteSpark tutors are available for extra help when students need it. This course emphasizes revision, clarity, and confidence, helping students transform their ideas into strong, cohesive stories. Ideal for middle and high school writers who want to grow creatively while building real, transferable writing skills.

Meet your instructor -  Alesha Escobar, M.S.Ed

Hi! I’m Alesha, an English teacher currently working on my Doctorate in Curriculum & Instruction--and, I'm a published fantasy author. I’ve spent years helping middle and high school students grow into confident writers, both in the classroom and through creative storytelling. In this course, I combine proven English instruction with the joy of imagination, guiding students step-by-step through the writing process. My goal is to help you build real writing skills while discovering your own voice as a writer. Whether you’re learning in a microschool, independently, you’ll get clear guidance, supportive feedback, and a creative space where your ideas matter.
